ACM/SIGDA Pioneering Achievement Award

About this program

ACM Special Interest Group on Design Automation (SIGDA) offers the annual ACM/SIGDA Pioneering Achievement Award to honor lifetime, outstanding contributions to electronic design automation, recognizing pioneering ideas realized through publications, industrial products, or other major achievements; the award is presented at DAC/ICCAD and includes a plaque, citation, and a USD 1,000 honorarium. Applicants from academia, industry, and government worldwide are eligible, but nominations must be submitted by someone other than the nominee and current members of the SIGDA Executive Committee or the Award Selection Committee are ineligible. A complete nomination package must include a 100‑word summary of the nominee’s impact, detailed descriptions of up to ten major works with up to ten citations, biographical information, nominator contact details, up to three letters of recommendation (excluding those from the nominator or nominee), and up to three endorsements; standard ACM conflict‑of‑interest rules apply.
