AGA Gemological Research Grant

About this program

The Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) offers research grants of up to $10,000 for scientific projects in or directly related to gemology, supporting expenses such as specimens, materials, and equipment. Projects are open to applicants worldwide, with applications due June 15, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Applicants should hold a science degree or have extensive relevant gemological experience, maintain an established relationship with a gem research laboratory or scientific institute, and submit an acceptance letter, detailed project plan and budget, timeline, publication plans, and three professional references. Projects must be completed within one year, with quarterly progress reports and final results presented to AGA membership in English.
