About this program
The Australian Institute of Art History at the University of Melbourne, in collaboration with the Art Association of Australia and New Zealand, offers the $25,000 AIAH Early Career Research Award for innovative, public-facing collaborative research projects in art history and related fields. Funding may support activities such as archival or fieldwork, research assistance, materials, and public dissemination, with projects required to produce a public research output within one year of the award. Applicants must form a team of at least two Early Career Researchers, defined as confirmed PhD candidates or researchers who received their PhD or equivalent within the past six years, excluding career breaks. At least one team member must hold current AAANZ membership, and applications are due 30 September 2024.
