AIA New York | Center for Architecture (AIANY) invites entries to its Transportation and Infrastructure Design Excellence Awards to honor outstanding built and unbuilt transportation and infrastructure projects by architects, landscape architects, and planners across the U.S., emphasizing sustainability, community engagement, and civic design. Registered architects, landscape architects, and planners may enter all categories (Structures, Planning, Open Space, Projects), while students enrolled in or graduating in 2025 from accredited U.S. architecture, landscape architecture, or planning programs may submit to Student and Project categories only; built projects must be completed since January 2020 and unbuilt work conceived/started after January 2020, with owner consent required. Call opens Jan 26 (9:00 am), submissions are due Feb 27 (5:00 pm), and winners will be announced at a May 5 event; required materials are a single landscape PDF portfolio (11”x17” or 9”x16”, RGB, ≤300 dpi, ≤10 pages, ≤10 MB, no identifying marks), a ≤500‑word project description, 1–3 high‑res images with credits, and applicant/team metadata. Entry fees vary by affiliation and region (AIA/ASLA members in NY/NJ/CT/PA/IL/Austin $210; members elsewhere $260; non‑members $310; students $25); incomplete submissions will be disqualified without refund and inquiries can be sent to info@aiany.org or 212‑683‑0023.
