About this program
The National Council on Family Relations’ Feminism and Family Science Section offers the Alexis J. Walker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Feminist Family Studies biennially in even years to recognize exceptional contributions to feminist family scholarship. The recipient receives a plaque, public recognition, and an invitation to deliver the Alexis J. Walker Award Address at an NCFR event.
Eligible nominees must have completed their terminal degree at least 20 years ago and be current members of both NCFR and the Feminism and Family Science Section. Applicants may be self-nominated or nominated by colleagues and must submit an updated CV, cover sheet addressing award criteria and section involvement, names of references, and three to five letters of support by May 22.
