About this program
The National Council on Family Relations offers the Alexis J. Walker Award for Mid-Career Achievement in Feminist Family Studies biennially in odd-numbered years to recognize outstanding contributions to feminist family scholarship. The recipient receives a plaque and recognition through the Feminism and Family Science Section newsletter, website, and annual meeting. Nominees or self-nominees must be NCFR members and members of the Feminism and Family Science Section, and must be at least 10 years beyond completion of their terminal degree. Applications require three to five letters of support, a cover sheet addressing eligibility and participation in the section, and an updated curriculum vitae or résumé; the deadline is May 22.
