AMS China Exchange Program: Ky and Yu-Fen Fan Fund Travel Grants

About this program

The American Mathematical Society’s Ky and Yu-Fen Fan Fund Travel Grants support research exchanges between mathematical scientists at institutions in the United States or Canada and colleagues in China, primarily covering travel and subsistence expenses. Approximately $10,000 is awarded annually, typically divided among two or three recipients, for visits during the 2027–2028 academic year. Applications must be submitted in English through MathPrograms.org between November 27, 2026, and March 31, 2027, by an eligible collaborating mathematician or department chair in the U.S./Canada, or by the hosting department chair in China. Proposals must include visitor and host information, research plans, visit dates, budget, CVs, and required departmental approval; institutional cost sharing is expected, and indirect costs are not allowed.
