AMS-SIAM Norbert Wiener Prize in Applied Mathematics

The American Mathematical Society (AMS) and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) jointly award the Norbert Wiener Prize in Applied Mathematics to recognize outstanding, impactful contributions to applied mathematics—covering foundational theory, computational methods, and applications to science and engineering—and the prize is typically awarded every three years. Recipients are researchers whose work demonstrates originality and broad influence in applied mathematics. Candidates must be nominated by peers; nomination packages customarily include a letter of nomination, the nominee’s curriculum vitae and publication list, and supporting letters, and winners are selected by a joint AMS–SIAM committee (self-nomination is not accepted).
