Anne R. Crecelius High Impact Scholar Award

The American Physiological Society Center for Physiology Education administers the Anne R. Crecelius High Impact Scholar Award (contingent on funding), which provides $5,000 toward completion of a major, long-term education project and reimburses registration fees for the APS From Concept to Classroom educator meeting; awardees will collaborate with the Center to complete a selected high‑impact project, mentor physiology educators, meet agreed benchmarks and report outcomes within three to five years. Applicants must be APS members in good standing for at least two years and demonstrate sustained, high‑quality commitment to advancing the physiology educator community. Required materials are a detailed CV documenting long‑term education projects, a letter of recommendation from a department chair or equivalent attesting to sustained commitment and excellence, and a statement describing a long‑term project the applicant led and how it will benefit their career. Recipients must contribute to related events, acknowledge the award in resulting publications, and are strongly encouraged to attend the APS educator meeting.
