About this program
The National Council on Family Relations offers the Anselm Strauss Award for Qualitative Family Research to recognize significant or innovative contributions to qualitative family theory, methodology, or research. The winner receives a plaque or certificate and recognition at the QFRN and Research and Theory section meetings; honorable mentions may also receive certificates. Eligible nominations must be qualitative journal articles or book chapters published during the year before presentation, and authors need not belong to NCFR or its affiliated groups. Applicants must submit the publication and a Word document describing its contributions to family science, methodological innovation, and the nominee’s qualitative research background by May 22.
