The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) offers the annual Anthony M. DiGioia, Jr. Electric Transmission Engineering Award, endowed to honor outstanding contributions to electric transmission engineering in practice, research, or education, including analysis, design, construction, and maintenance of transmission lines, substation structures, and foundations. The recipient receives a certificate and an honorarium (amount determined annually by the ASCE Executive Committee), and the award is presented at an ASCE society conference. Eligible nominees must be ASCE members (student members excluded); nominations require a nominator-signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two or three letters of recommendation, and nominees not selected are held for up to two additional selection cycles.
