About this program
The AOCS Award of Merit recognizes a current AOCS member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, committee service, or other exceptional contributions that advance the Society’s prestige and interests. The recipient receives a plaque and recognition during the Welcome Ceremony at the AOCS Annual Meeting. Nominees must be current AOCS members; current Governing Board members, past presidents, and honorary members are ineligible. Nominations require a letter describing the candidate’s contributions, at least three letters of support, and a curriculum vitae including complete publication and patent lists.
