APS Travel Grant

About this program

The Association of Print Scholars (APS) offers a $500 annual travel grant to one APS member to defray registration, travel, lodging, subsistence, and accessibility expenses for presenting a paper at the College Art Association (CAA) or Renaissance Society of America (RSA) Annual Meeting; the 2026 award will be given to a member presenting at the 2027 RSA Annual Meeting (Philadelphia, March 11–13, 2027). Applicants must be APS members in good standing with an accepted paper focused on printmaking or printmaking history (previously presented papers, chair/discussant/roundtable roles, and current APS officers are ineligible), and must reside outside the conference city. Submit a single PDF by January 5, 2027 to info@printscholars.org containing paper title and ≤250-word abstract with panel/chair information and proof of acceptance, a ≤250-word statement linking the paper to your research goals, a ≤2-page CV, and a ≤150-word statement of need with a tentative travel budget; applicants will be notified by January 12 and the recipient must submit a ≤250-word report within 30 days after the conference and return funds if withdrawing. Priority is given to applicants with limited institutional resources, including graduate students, adjunct lecturers, and emerging or independent scholars.
