About this program
The Arizona Space Grant Consortium, funded by NASA’s National Space Grant College and Fellowship Project, offers mentors the opportunity to host paid undergraduate interns on research projects aligned with NASA Mission Directorates. Interns may work up to 20 hours per week from September through May at $16.50 per hour, with optional mentor cost-sharing. Eligible mentors include AZSGC and University of Arizona affiliates, faculty, staff, research scientists, postdoctoral researchers, and Tucson industry professionals who can provide a defined project, consistent supervision, and at least 5–20 hours of meaningful work weekly. Mentors must participate in orientation and evaluations, support the intern’s symposium presentations, and complete required program agreements.
