Arkansas Breast Cancer Research Program (ABCRP)

Established by Arkansas Act 434 in 1997, the Arkansas Breast Cancer Research Program (ABCRP) provides state-funded grants to support research into the cause, cure, treatment, early detection and prevention of breast cancer, with emphasis on projects that complement federally funded work. ABCRP funds up to three two‑year pilot awards of $50,000 each and one two‑year investigator award of $250,000 annually. Eligible applicants are investigators or research teams at institutions able to conduct breast cancer research whose proposals align with ABCRP’s mission; applications are competitively reviewed and must demonstrate scientific merit and feasibility.
