About this program
The American Philosophical Association and American Society for Aesthetics offer the Arthur Danto/ASA Prize for outstanding published work in aesthetics, broadly understood. The winner receives $1,000, recognition at an APA Eastern Division symposium, and may receive need-based travel support if other funding is unavailable. For the 2028 award, nominations are due January 20, 2027, and should concern papers or eligible book chapters/essays published in 2025 or 2026. Nominees must be members of both APA and ASA; nominators must also belong to both organizations, may submit one nomination, and may not nominate themselves.
