Arthur T. Winfree Prize

The Society for Mathematical Biology (SMB) awards the Arthur T. Winfree Prize in memory of Arthur T. Winfree to honor a theoretician whose research has inspired significant new biological insights; the recipient receives $500, a certificate, and is expected to give a talk at the SMB Annual Meeting. Nominations may focus on a single paper, a series of papers, or a larger body of theoretical work that has demonstrably led to new biological understanding and guided experiments or observations. Eligibility targets researchers in theoretical/mathematical biology whose work shows a clear connection between theory and experiment; the SMB Awards Committee selects the recipient.
