About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) offers Distinguished Membership, its highest honor, to recognize civil engineers who have attained eminence in engineering or related fields, including engineering education and construction. Up to 12 recipients are elected annually and receive all rights and privileges of ASCE membership. Nominees must be current ASCE Members or Fellows; self-nominations are not permitted, and nominations must be submitted by an ASCE member in good standing by December 15. Complete packages require an endorsed nomination form, 40-word citation, one-page biography, CV of no more than 15 pages, and six reference letters, with a total package limit of 30 pages.
