ASHG Mentorship Award

About this program

The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Mentorship Award recognizes ASHG members with a documented, sustained record of exemplary mentorship of students, postdoctoral fellows, residents, and other trainees, honoring coaching that goes beyond typical expectations and advances mentees’ careers. Candidates must be current ASHG members at any academic rank who can demonstrate long‑term commitment to mentee development and notable impacts on mentees’ career trajectories. Nominations require a completed form, the nominee’s CV and comprehensive mentee contact list, two references (one mentee and one ASHG member), and brief (≤300‑word) narratives describing specific mentorship accomplishments and influence.
