ASHRAE Undergraduate Engineering Scholarships

About this program

ASHRAE offers undergraduate engineering scholarships and grants (named awards ranging from $3,000 to $10,000, including one- and two-year awards) for students pursuing B.S. or engineering degrees in curricula that prepare for careers in HVAC&R; applications are due December 1 for the following academic year. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate engineering or pre‑engineering students with a cumulative college GPA of at least 3.0 (or in the top 30% of their class) and meet at least one institutional criterion: an active ASHRAE Student Branch, ABET accreditation (or equivalent Washington Accord signatory), or a signed MOU with ABET; re-applications are accepted. Applications must include an official transcript (sent directly by the registrar) and three signed letters of recommendation (faculty/advisor, current/past employer, and a non‑family character reference; an ASHRAE student branch faculty advisor may fulfill one letter).
