ASHRAE Undergraduate Program Equipment Grants

About this program

ASHRAE offers Undergraduate Program Equipment Grants to engineering, architecture, engineering technology, and two-year technical schools worldwide for equipment and supplies supporting undergraduate projects on HVAC&R-related topics. Awards support projects lasting one academic term to one year, with up to $25,000 for the highest-ranked project and up to $5,000 for subsequent projects. Faculty members must apply on behalf of student teams and submit a complete electronic application, project description, and itemized equipment budget by December 15; applicants need not be ASHRAE members. Projects emphasizing hands-on teaching, demonstrations, working models, laboratory experiments, and testing equipment are prioritized, while salaries, travel, overhead, computer hardware, and other non-equipment costs are ineligible.
