ASHS Esmaeil and Bahar Fallahi Award for Integrity and Professionalism

About this program

The American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) offers the Esmaeil and Bahar Fallahi Award for Integrity and Professionalism to honor professional horticulturists who demonstrate exceptional integrity, honesty, service, and professionalism across academic, research, teaching, extension, consulting, administrative, or commercial roles. The annual award includes a plaque or desk memento and a $1,000 cash payment. Nominees must be ASHS members with at least five years of professional horticultural employment, including at least half of their career; retirees are eligible if they left professional employment within the past three years. Nominations are due March 1 and must include career documentation, evidence of professional integrity and recognition, a vita of no more than 10 pages, and five support letters, including a nomination letter and four peer or supervisor letters.
