ASHS Professional Early Career Award

About this program

The American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) offers four annual Professional Early Career Awards recognizing members for outstanding contributions to horticultural science through teaching, research, extension, or commercial/consulting activities. Recipients receive a plaque at the annual Awards Ceremony; no monetary stipend is provided. Nominees must be ASHS members who completed their final degree within the previous seven years before employment, and nominators must also be ASHS members. Nominations are due February 4 and must include a CV, a 400-word biographical summary, a nomination letter of up to 500 words, and three to five support letters, including at least one from another institution.
