About this program

AstraZeneca ASGE Research Grants, offered by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in partnership with AstraZeneca, support basic, translational, and clinical research tied to gastrointestinal endoscopy, with priority areas including colorectal cancer screening, Barrett’s esophagus, endoscopy training, health disparities, quality improvement, reprocessing/infection control, sedation, bowel preparation, novel endoscopic obesity treatments, EUS/ERCP and other endoscopically guided imaging/interventions. Applicants must be current ASGE members with an MD/DO/PhD (or equivalent) and be practicing in North America; international ASGE members may be considered for one project (up to $75,000). Trainees are eligible but must provide a Division Chief letter confirming appointment for the grant duration (or a contingency plan) and a mentor support letter; applicants delinquent on prior ASGE grants are ineligible. Pilot projects with a clear plan for subsequent funding are encouraged, and applications must be submitted electronically as a single PDF and comply with all stated requirements and page limits.
