ATS Research Program Grants for Early-Career Investigators

About this program

The American Thoracic Society (ATS) offers research grants of $100,000 per year for at least 2 years to support early-career investigators in pulmonary disease, critical illness, and sleep disorders research. Applicants must be ATS members, have completed their primary research training by January 1, 2025, and have a firm commitment for a faculty position by January 2026. Eligibility is limited to those within 0-10 years of their terminal degree or postdoctoral training completion, without prior receipt of a non-mentored grant of $100,000 per year for at least 2 years, and exceptions may be made for extenuating circumstances such as parental or military leave. International applicants are eligible, and simultaneous submissions to other funding agencies are allowed with certain conditions.
