About this program

Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA), under the Farm Action for Climate Fund (FAFC), provides cost-share funding to third parties to develop, administer and deliver knowledge-sharing events that promote adoption of best management practices to reduce GHG emissions and increase carbon storage. Eligible events—online webinars or in-person demonstrations, workshops or presentations—must focus on implementation and address at least one FAFC category (nitrogen management, cover cropping, or rotational grazing); OSCIA may offer promotional support and staff participation. Applicants (associations, organizations or agricultural businesses) must apply via the OSCIA portal at least 10 business days before the event, providing title, date/time, organizer contact, format and a short description of the PGO; funding can cover up to 100% of eligible event delivery costs, while participant attendance costs are ineligible and producer attendance confirmation is required for producer FAFC claims.
