Award for Contributions to Paleobotany

About this program

The Paleobotanical Section of the Botanical Society of America offers an award recognizing significant contributions to paleobotany, service, or outstanding scholarship; recipients receive a plaque at the Section’s Annual Business Meeting. Only members of the Paleobotanical Section are eligible, and the award may not be presented every year. Nominations must include an up-to-one-page recommendation letter and be submitted to the Section Secretary/Treasurer by February 1 following the September call for submissions.
