About this program
The Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) offers the annual AWP Writing Organization Award to recognize organizations that serve the writing community—such as conferences, festivals, centers, workshops, residencies, and retreats—and awards the winning organization a $2,000 honorarium plus a complimentary bookfair booth with two conference registrations. Eligible organizations must be nominated; nominations are submitted as letters of nomination via AWP’s online submission portal. AWP accepts nomination letters each year from September 1 through October 31.
