Barbara Lawrence Award for Best Student Presentation and Paper

About this program

The Society of Ethnobiology’s Barbara Lawrence Award recognizes outstanding student research presented at its annual conference and encourages development of conference presentations into publishable papers. The award provides a $750 prize for the best oral or poster presentation and accompanying paper. Applicants must be current Society members who are students or have received their PhD within the past year and must not be previous award recipients; any ethnobiology topic is eligible. Applicants must submit an abstract and proof of student status by January 12, present at the annual conference, and, if accepted, submit a maximum 1,500-word prospectus and applicable Statement of Authorship by April 30.
