Battery Division Technology Award

About this program

The Electrochemical Society (ECS) Battery Division Technology Award recognizes significant recent advances in primary or secondary batteries and fuel cells with potential to influence future applications. Presented annually at the ECS fall meeting, the award includes a framed certificate, $2,000, continued ECS Battery Division membership while the recipient remains an ECS member, and possible travel support. Nominees must be authors or coauthors of relevant publications, including at least one paper in an ECS journal or publication, with supporting work demonstrating technical excellence, originality, and practical application; papers from up to 10 years before May 1 of the award year may be considered. Nomination materials include an electronic form, CV, publication and patent list, and up to three support letters, and nominees must hold current ECS and ECS Battery Division membership; nominations are accepted October 15–January 15 annually.
