Beatrice Medicine Award - Student Travel Award (SfAA)

About this program

The Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) offers the Beatrice Medicine Student Travel Award—three awards of $750 each—to support student travel to the SfAA Annual Meeting for presenters with accepted paper or poster abstracts. Applicants must have been enrolled as students during part of the current year, have an accepted abstract and be registered for the meeting, and apply through the online portal by the published deadline (Dec. 20) with a recent college transcript and a one‑page career goal statement (applicants are encouraged to reflect on career goals and the social sciences, particularly regarding Native peoples). Online submission also requires contact and college information, major, optional tribal/community affiliation, and uploads in DOC/DOCX/PDF format; awardees are notified in January.
