David G. Kendall Award for Young Researchers

About this program

The Bernoulli Society and Royal Statistical Society offer the biennial David G. Kendall Award to recognize outstanding young researchers with significant achievements and strong potential in mathematical statistics or probability theory. The award provides €2,000 and a certificate, with funds intended to support attendance at the relevant society’s major conference, where the recipient delivers the Kendall Lecture. Applicants must be members of the Bernoulli Society or RSS and have received their PhD within eight years before the competition year, with parental-leave extensions of up to one year per year taken. The 2027 edition is for mathematical statistics, and nominations are accepted from April 1 through June 30.
