About this program

The Bibliographical Society of America’s New Scholars Program supports emerging bibliographical researchers through three annual awards of $1,000, a $500 travel stipend to attend the BSA Annual Meeting, complimentary one-year membership, and opportunities to present and submit work to *PBSA*. Applicants may be booksellers, librarians, curators, collectors, junior academics, dissertation-level graduate students, or independent scholars who have not previously published, lectured, or taught on bibliographical subjects. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or visa holders authorized to earn money in the United States; BSA membership is not required. Applications for the 2027 program, including a letter of application, CV, and recommendation letter, are due September 16, 2026.
