2. Mitchell Prize for Research on British Serials

   The Bibliographical Society of America (BSA) awards three triennial endowed publication prizes recognizing excellence in bibliographical scholarship: the William L. Mitchell Prize for research on British/18th‑century serials (cash award $1,000 + one year’s BSA membership; next awarded January 2027), the Justin G. Schiller Prize for bibliography of historical children’s books (cash award $3,000 + membership; next awarded January 2028), and the St. Louis Mercantile Library Prize for bibliography of American history and literature (cash award $2,000 + membership; next awarded January 2029).
