Bilal M. Ayyub Research Award for Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) offers the Bilal M. Ayyub Research Award to recognize outstanding contributions to modeling and management of risk and uncertainty in engineering systems; the award was established by the ASCE Board of Direction in March 2026 and is supported by an endowment. Eligible works are original papers published online in ASCE journals between July and June of the year preceding the award, and up to two awards may be presented annually. Nominations are submitted via the ASCE nomination form and must include a cover letter signed by the nominator and a copy of the paper as it appears online; the lead author receives a certificate and an honorarium (amount set annually) and other recipients receive certificates. Nominations must meet the posted deadline (the page lists "November 1") and questions should be directed to ASCE Awards & Honors.
