Biology Division Small Grants Award

About this program

The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) Biology Division offers limited research supply grants of up to $250 to support faculty-mentored undergraduate research projects where a small award will substantially advance the work. Applicants must be members of the CUR Biology Division (mentors must be individual CUR members or at institutions with CUR membership) and proposals should define a clear role for undergraduates and a mentoring plan. Awards are paid as stipends (not restricted to the current fiscal year), recipients must acknowledge CUR in resulting publications and presentations, and proposals are evaluated on mentoring clarity, specific project outcomes, the likelihood the small grant will move the research forward, and alignment with CUR’s strategic goals.
