BMES Student Chapter Awards (chapter-level awards for leadership, outreach, mentoring, industry partnership, and societal impact)

About this program

The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) annually awards student chapters for excellence in leadership, growth, outreach, mentoring, industry partnership, and societal impact; winners receive an engraved plaque, complimentary BMES Annual Meeting registrations, travel reimbursement (up to $1,750 for the Outstanding Achievement Award), and invitations to present a best-practice panel and webinar. Awards span multiple categories—Outstanding Achievement, Commendable Achievement, Outreach, Mentoring, Industry Program, Societal Impact, Outstanding High School Chapter, and Up-and-Coming New Chapter—each judged on demonstrated leadership, program impact, and innovation. Eligibility is limited to BMES student chapters (collegiate or high school as applicable) that submit a Chapter Development Report; chapters chartered within the same calendar year qualify for the Up-and-Coming award, and winners are expected to participate in the Annual Meeting panel and webinar.
