About this program

ALISE’s Bohdan S. Wynar Research Paper Competition is an annual, blind-reviewed award recognizing completed research papers on any aspect of library and information science; up to two winners are selected and invited to present a summary at the ALISE Annual Conference (no monetary prize). Submissions must report completed, unpublished research (manuscripts under review allowed) and may come from funded projects, but papers produced directly as part of master's/doctoral degree requirements are ineligible while research using data gathered by graduate students may be acceptable. At least one author must be an ALISE personal member at the deadline, only one paper per entrant is permitted, recent past winners and award committee members are ineligible, and entries must meet strict formatting/submission rules (maximum 7,000 words including abstract and references, 12‑point font, one‑inch margins, two title pages including one blinded copy) or will be disqualified.
