Broderick Crawford Community Partnership Award (BCCPA)

About this program

Frontiers Clinical & Translational Science Institute funds the Broderick Crawford Community Partnership Awards to develop or strengthen academic–community partnerships by supporting community-based activities that build trust and relationships among researchers, patient advocates, community members and community-based organizations. Up to six awards are issued annually, each providing up to $2,500. Eligible applicants are multidisciplinary teams that include a principal investigator who is a Frontiers member (faculty employed by a Frontiers partner institution such as University of Kansas, Kansas State University, Children’s Mercy Kansas City, Saint Luke’s/BJC Health West Region, or University of Missouri–Kansas City) together with community partners (community groups, community-based organizations, patient advocates, or self-identified community members). PIs may be listed as collaborators on multiple submissions but may serve as PI on only one application and may receive only one award per year; contact the Frontiers Community Partner Project Manager for application details.
