About this program
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control offers Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund grants to support the assessment and cleanup of contaminated properties owned by eligible nonprofits, tribal entities, and local governments. Funding is available for California sites, with awards and project periods determined case by case and reimbursements issued through invoice batches; matching funds are not required. Applicants must not be potentially liable under CERCLA Section 107, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis subject to funding availability. DTSC is not currently accepting new applications because the fund lacks sufficient funding.
