BSA Early Career Conference Bursary Award

About this program

The British Sociological Association Early Career Forum offers a bursary of up to £375 (awarded twice yearly) to support early career BSA members to present a paper at a conference of their choosing; applications are accepted any time and are considered by committee twice a year (recommended by 15 January or 7 July). Applicants must be fully paid BSA members for at least 12 months, have had their PhD awarded within the past seven years, must not be eligible for the BSA Support Fund, and previous bursary recipients are ineligible (one claim per member). To apply, email enquiries@britsoc.org.uk with subject "BSA ECF Conference Bursary Award Application" including your full name, BSA membership number, PhD date and awarding institution, conference details, paper title and abstract (max 250 words or conference limit), and a CV listing prior conference papers and publications.
