BSR Carer's Grant

About this program

The British Society of Rheology offers the BSR Carer’s Grant to contribute up to £250 toward caring costs to enable parents and carers to attend conferences, research schools, meetings or visits. Applicants must be BSR members of at least nine months' standing, may receive only one carer’s grant within any 12‑month period, and a maximum of four grants are awarded each year. Applications should be submitted at least one month before the activity and include the applicant’s name, position and organisation, a short summary of the activity, an explanation of how it supports the applicant’s research, and a breakdown of projected costs. Payment is normally made after receipt of a short report suitable for the Society Bulletin, though advance payment may be considered in exceptional circumstances; applicants may also apply for a travel grant concurrently.
