About this program

The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Education Competition Subcommittee is soliciting applications from competition organizers to sponsor student and young‑researcher prizes in computational intelligence, with typical awards of approximately $500 (1st), $300 (2nd), and $200 (3rd), though amounts may vary. Eligible applicants are only competition organizers; competitions must have no other sponsors and must be held either in conjunction with an IEEE CIS–financially sponsored conference or be a CIS‑run independent competition, and proposals are judged on competition quality and educational benefit. Organizers are encouraged to provide didactic materials (tutorials, baseline implementations, documentation); multi‑track events must submit separate requests or specify how funds will be divided, and a minimum of five entries is required for payout. Winners’ contact details must be provided to the subcommittee chair to initiate payments, applications are submitted via the Smartsheet form and cis-info@ieee.org, and prize distribution follows the CIS prize distribution policy.
