About this program
The Florida Legislature’s Casey DeSantis Cancer Research Program, through the Cancer Connect Collaborative Research Incubator overseen by the Cancer Connect Collaborative, is offering a five-year targeted funding initiative beginning July 1, 2025 to support pediatric cancer research in Florida. Funding is intended to accelerate development of pediatric cancer treatments, devices and trials and to build in‑state clinical and research infrastructure so children and families need not travel out of state for experimental therapies. Applicants should be investigators or institutions proposing pediatric cancer projects that demonstrably advance treatment options and strengthen Florida’s pediatric oncology infrastructure, and must comply with section 381.915(12)(a), the program’s application requirements, and the FY2025–26 submission procedures and deadlines.
