Caregiver Grant

About this program

The Animal Behavior Society offers the Caregiver Grant to provide financial assistance for dependent-care expenses that would otherwise limit active ABS members’ ability to attend and present at the annual ABS meeting. Funds may be used for costs such as daycare, in‑home childcare, or travel expenses for a caregiver and are intended solely to support dependent care; specific award amounts are not stated. Eligible applicants are active ABS members attending the annual meeting who have caregiving responsibilities (e.g., young children, aging parents), with priority given to those presenting and to demonstrated need as judged by the abstract and CV. Applications are submitted via the online abstract submission system and must include the submitted abstract (with title), a curriculum vitae, a one‑paragraph justification for support, and a brief statement of prior ABS meeting attendance.
