Carer’s Award

About this program

The Genetics Society’s Carer’s Award provides funding to help members with caring responsibilities attend Society meetings, offering up to £60 per day (usable as the applicant deems best) payable in arrears on submission of electronic receipts. Awards are competitive, limited by anticipated event attendance, and priority is given to early-career scientists and applicants demonstrating need. Any Genetics Society member may apply; applications must be submitted via the MySociety portal prior to the meeting and include career stage, a description of the caregiver role (no age limit for the dependent), and a brief justification (maximum 300 words).
