About this program
The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is offering a "Quick Start" Research Grant to support timely property-casualty actuarial research with awards of up to $50,000 and an expedited review process targeting a decision within six weeks. Applicants submit a concise proposal to be reviewed by a CAS research working group; once approved, researchers and reviewers agree on deliverables and deadlines before work begins and the project undergoes CAS’s credibility-building peer review. Funded projects are expected to be published via CAS outlets (Variance, E-Forum, Monograph, or Research Paper), may use CAS confidential datasets as applicable, and must provide code for peer review and open sourcing when relevant. For questions, contact research@casact.org.
