C.B. Oldman Award — annual prize for works in music bibliography, reference or librarianship

About this program

IAML (UK & Irl) administers the annual C.B. Oldman Award, a £300 prize for an outstanding work in music bibliography, music reference, or music librarianship, presented at the Branch Annual General Meeting. Eligible works may be in print or electronic form and must have been published two years prior to the award year (publications in a given year are considered for the prize awarded two years later); authors must be resident in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland during the year of entry, and for joint authorship at least 50% of authors must be ordinarily resident in the UK or Ireland. Nominations may be submitted by IAML (UK & Irl) members and other interested parties (including publishers); the C.B. Oldman Prize Committee may choose not to award the prize in any year.
