CBCRP Trainee Supplements

About this program

The California Breast Cancer Research Program (CBCRP) offers Trainee Supplements to support breast cancer research training under the mentorship of a CBCRP-funded principal investigator. Funding supports high school students, undergraduates, or community members for a summer or up to six months full-time equivalent over one year, with research focused on vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by breast cancer. Trainees must be California residents and either come from groups underrepresented in breast cancer research or intend to pursue work addressing issues affecting underrepresented communities. Requests may be submitted during award prefunding or with an annual progress report when at least six months remain, and are available for most CBCRP award types except conference, fellowship, and planning awards.
