CCCC Advancement of Knowledge Award

About this program

The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), a constituent organization of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), presents the Advancement of Knowledge Award annually for the empirical research publication that most advances writing studies. For the 2027 award, eligible publications must have appeared in calendar year 2025 or 2026. Nominees and nominators—including authors, editors, publishers, or readers—must be current CCCC and/or NCTE members. Nominations are due July 15, 2026, and must include a brief statement describing the publication’s contribution to the profession, submitted by email to cccc@ncte.org.
